The Sims 4 lets players bring out their creative side by custom-designing their Sims and building unique houses for them. Being a social life simulation game, The Sims 4 gives complete control to players to choose how they want to build, furnish, and decorate homes for their preferred Sims.

While building houses in The Sims 4 can be super fun, players may find themselves stuck in Build mode trying to figure out how to make specific adjustments – such as rotating floor tiles. Changing the position of floor tiles allows players to design aesthetically pleasing floors in their Sim’s house. This article will guide players on rotating floor tiles in The Sims 4.

After purchasing floor tiles of their preference from the build mode in The Sims 4, players can effortlessly rotate tiles. To rotate floor tiles, make sure to select the “Single floor tile” option. This option can be found in the Build menu, usually located on the left side of the screen. Click on it to be able to select individual floor tiles for rotation. Then, click on the specific floor tile that needs to be rotated. A highlighted tile indicates that it can be edited now.

Players can rotate floor tiles vertically and horizontally to get the desired direction and design.

Rotation will not work if the Single floor tile option isn’t enabled.

Flooring comes in different styles – tiles, wood, stone, masonry, and linoleum. Outdoor floor tiles are also a form of flooring, such as pavements on roads and sidewalks.

To create neat corner pieces for kitchen tiles, backyards, or a beautiful wrap-around porch for the Sim’s houses, it’s easier to use quarter floor tiles. Pressing the “Ctrl + F” keys simultaneously changes the shape of the floor tile to a nice triangle that can be used to create an aesthetic corner piece.

And that’s it! Create unique and personalized flooring patterns by easily rotating floor tiles or using diagonal tiles.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
