Guardians swept by Astros as Chas McCormick belts two home runs to hand Cleveland 3
HOUSTON — Chas McCormick hit a pair of home runs and Houston’s bullpen limited the Guardians to a pair of hits and a walk over the final five innings Wednesday to hand Cleveland a 3-2 loss and a series sweep at Minute Maid Park.
McCormick greeted reliever Nick Sandlin with a solo home run on the first pitch he saw to lead off the bottom of the sixth. The blast broke a 2-2 tie and was McCormick’s second of the game, giving him 15 on the season and marking his third career multi-homer effort.
